Well the mechanic told me my car relayed a code 42 for a fuel pump relay, well he actually said a fuel relay and that is the only code that deals with the fuel relay. He said it could be the relay or a short circut. Like i said it didnt start for a day then the next day it did and has since. Any suggestion on fixs and what not. The mechanic said it gives the code of and on.

 

Replace the relay and see what happens.

ummm, pull the old one out and put in a new one!

 

could that relay cause the car not to start?

 

No fuel....no start!!!
