Default still having problems HELP!

Upon further inspection I resolved the touchy throttle in this 97 SOHC. I cleaned the PCV valve and it isn't jumping when I only lightly touch the gas. The check engine light went out for about 4 miles only to come back on. I checked it again and got the same code ( ENG: 51/p0171 fuel sys 1/1 lean). The thing is it's not running funny at all except a louder idle, not faster or slower just louder. Anyone have suggestions?????????

the pcv is a REAL cheap part to replace ($5-10). do you mean the EGR valve that is on the right hand side of the block as you look at the eng when the hood is open?

How many other people have had the car before you..? Could be that the TB was upgraded and you dont know about it

EDIT: a larger TB (More than 52mm) will cause your engine to throw a "too lean" code.

DANG, gotta stop drinking. N-98 has a GOOD point. it's a good idea to start a new thread with your eng/trans/mods info. if you have what you think to be a touchy throttle, by what ref are you going by? i know it's not a 1915 model T. but we all need more info. let us know.
