I'm about to replace the rear speakers and i was looking at the screws and they look like you have to get them from above so how do you take out the carpeting without damaging it?

 

there is a bolt that connects the baby seat clip that has to be removed and the rest just pops out. Pop the seat belt covers off and slide them down, then the carpet lifts up. I just got it up enough that I could get at them with a stubby screwdriver.

 

The first time I changed mine I used this s looking tool, worked out ok, then the next time I upgraded I poped the trunk and thought if I could just unscrew the screws from the trunk. So i grabed a small pair of locking wrenches ( the kind where you can adjust the size of the mouth and just squeeze and it will clamp on ) then I just kept turning and turning till the screws where lose and hand turned from the top, came out really easy and took no time at all. hope some of tha was helpfull and good luck !!
