Check this page for info on building your rally neon: www.rallynotes.com

Also, the SCCA isn't the sanctioning body anymore. I think the national governing body is RallyAmerica, plus you will have local series rules.

mruf is correct - SCCA spun Ralley off

My original cage was a bolt in and ran about $900 (installed myself)

My new cage is welded (Much Better) and ran me about $1600

The welded is much better as it helps stiffen up the car for turning - I notice the bolt-in flexed with the car.

The Welded one also seems to be lighter - not sure how much if any - my car empty (No driver - No Gas) is 2600lbs with the Welded cage. when I had the bolt in it weighed approx 2690lbs.

I am thinking about moving my neon to Ralley racing after it expires from Club racing. I will be making that decision around the end of 2007. I will either move the car from SSC to ITA and keep on club racing or move it into Ralley racing!

I had someone else weld it for me - as I do not have the expertise or experience to weld it myself.

Well worth the Money - Car Performance Increase was drastic as the car lost alot of its flex. I was able to keep all 4 wheels on the ground better through out the turns!

Yeah, but a pic of a neon on 3 wheels is cool to see!

I highly rec. welding in your rollcage. not only does it make your car more solid but safer to.
check out this web sit , it shows me going over turn 3 @ 55 and rolling at least 2 1/2 times stoping
on roof. I walked away with 1 little blk&blue mark under my arm from the seat. After rolling , it wasn't bent and no cracks in the welds
