Default 98 neon code 6c (PO302)

My daughter has a 98 SOHC, her boyfriend put a new timming belt on and the waterpump gear broke within a week and locked the engine up. They replaced the belt it had a miss and low compression in cly # 1, and we were getting codes 2A , 2B, & 6B thinking we had bent valves and needing the car I bought a used head. I put the head on and a new coil pack . The valves looked fine I'm sure it had a blown head gasket as it was blowin lots of oil out. The engine seemed to run fine she called and said it sounded like a tractor and had no power. I went over Sunday and replaced the exhust gasket, but could hear a dead cly. Pulled the plugs and # 2 was not firing, checked the codes and it has a 6c. Is this the coil pack again or is this an intermittinet computer problem ?

Have you looked at the plugs and/or wires?
