Default Misfire after 3000rpm

Ok my buddies neon has a misfire after 3000rpm, weve checked timing, we checked fuel, we checked spark. What could cause the misfire?

You might have all three of those, but it doesnt sound like the spark is sufficient enough ;-) What kind of plugs are you using? I bet that if you change the plugs it will clear up.. My neon did it once when I accidently cleaned one plug with brake cleaner.. it would misfire under hard accelleration.. Its cheap to change plugs, start there..
