Extra Lighting brainstorming session

I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to add lighting to my 99 R/T rally project car. My latest thought is that I would add four 2x6 KC's between the running lights(blinkers), in the space between the bumper and the hood. Anyone see any problem with that? The only things I can think of are 1. heat generated by the lights, and 2. decreased airflow into the engine bay since this would eat up the entire opening. There is a plastic snorkel looking thing attached to the hood that runs from the front back into the engine. If movement of air to this location is critical, I can add a hood vent. Any help with the brainstorming would be appreciated.
Here's the light I'm thinking of:

Here is the rally standard, which is suppose works well enough:

There's still air entering the cavity in front of the radiator from the lower openings on the front facia piece. Maybe not enough? I think if I dump the running lights, spread the KC's to the edges, air to the radiator shouldn't be a problem. I might not be street legal though.
