Default camshaft

i was reading on the internet that the stock 1995 neon's camshaft was changed in 96 and is now offered as a mopar performance part

does this mean that since my cam is bigger that i have more power than 132hp?

It's a more aggresive cam...

95:Intake valve lift - 7.8 mm, centerline - 108 degrees, overlap volume - 2987 mm3.
96-99:Intake valve lift - 7.2 mm, centerline - 113 degrees, overlap volume - 2039 mm3.

According to the Mopar catalog it's worth 4HP over the 96-99 cams.

Probably, but be careful with the "rice" math.

The magnum cam is even more agressive...
01 SOHC Magnum's have 8.75mm intake lift and the 02-04 Magnum's have 8.50mm lift. Thats what I have in my 97 SOHC
