what do you guys think of this short shifter?

as long as its shorter and has the different angle...then it will work

a short shifter isnt only shorter....it has a different angle

 

Usually short shifters on eBay aren't "true" short shifters, but rather cut stock shifters. Which will help, but not a real STS.

 

Your wasting your money! Make your own all you have to do is cut your stock shifter down and put on a different ****
I did it and it made a huge difference. There is no difference at all between the one in your car right now and the one on ebay except the height so just cut yours down. I would also recomend replacing you bushings in your shifter while your in there.
Between cutting my shifter and replacing the bushings it only took about 30min. Personally I would save my money and make my own.
that way you can take off as much as you want, but be careful because the more you cut off the harder it will be to shift, also be sure to only cut to the bottom of the notch in the shifter so when you put another **** on it wont spin!!

Yes it reduces shift throw.

 

the main thing that is different with a short throw shifter is the distence you have to move the shift lever.....wanna real cheap short throw???..this one is so cheap its free......when shifting, hold on to the handle as far down as you can on the boot.....there now you have a free short throw shifter.....wasnt that easy????
