take anything off or out of the car that you don't need, seats, plastic, spare tires, air conditioning system. lightening is always cheap to start, lol

Weight reduction is by far the cheapest route you can go.

I don't know what magazine it was, but they got a car into the 10's by taking everything off of it, even the roof, doors, and everything they could think of. Only the BARE essesntials were left. It was funny!!

i read a sim article in "hot rod" a few years ago. they used a piece of cardboard to cover the rad to improve aero. shaved almost a sec.

hey rice eater, if you wanna spruce things up a little...then forget about the strut braces...unless you plan on hardcore autocross racing.....then use the money to buy a cam, or sumthing that will move you faster....since it seems like thats what your wanting to go for.....dont worry about the srtut braces...their more for bling if used by the average driver

a strut brace is gonna help your car from flexing too much while under intense pressure from taking curves at high speeds.....

sounds like there is more to the story or a lot less to the car, like a frame, seat, motor and trans, but interesting none the less, lol

I could see it helping, but maybe 1/10 of a second, not a sec of the time, thats unbelievable.
