nice that ill prolly get in like 2 weeks though
im lookin at 350-400 for the donor car then about 400-500 to have it done
im in the military so i dont have time to do a tranny swap or the place
gov housing has crappy garages lol
so thats ne where from 750-900 without the new flywheel t/o bearing and clutch
with it its about 910-1060

If it were me I would just use the old parts from the donor car. Give it a good look over and if they seem fine, then drop it in.

okay...good news
i got the car for 400 bucks
it comes with bent valves and no battery
bad news its a sohc
i wanted the dohc so i could just take the muffler from that instead of payin a junkyard for one but oh well
now all thats left is to speak with my mechanic about a price on swappin it for me
and work that down somehow seeing how ill have an atx just sittin around and a 1995 highline with bent valves
thx all

Engine

Swap the auto TB along with it and then part out what you don't want to try to recoup some of your money.

If its costing you alot to do the swap, I'd suggest buying a haynes manual and doing it yourself. Literly a matter of unbolting and bolting back up.

It takes time and a bit of patience, some cold ones, but give yourself a weekend and you should be on your way!

BOL

im doing another atx to mtx swap , if anyone wants pictures or any crap like that let me know now, ill get some in the process
i managed to deploy the airbags when i dropped a big hammer on the control box between the shifter and E brake- smashed it , good thing i had the seat back, i got hit hard, airbag is about the most worthless ****in thing ever put in a car[sm=bomb.gif]
anyway im putting a 98 r/t MTX in a 95 SOHC auto car, so we'll see how that engine does with the low gearing

for the speed sensor, if the plug is different, swap the gears from one to the other and put the original sensor in the new trans, the gears look completely differnt, but are interchangeable to either sensor
