Thats what they say about my tranny. But dont neutral drop it. And especially dont reverse drop it. I got a story for ya. I did that and neutral became 1st, reverse was gone and park was park but with a lunge forward. (It was stuck in drive) I fixed that while going down the road and reached 30mph and put it in neutral(1st) and that fixed it. God i was lucky.

 

it will be bulletproof if used like a regular tranny......no tranny is ment to be neutral dropped or reverse dropped.....thats just one of the dumbest things to do to your car....

the neons auto tranny is an A-670.....the same trans used in the 80's turbo cars......so it can stand up to alot of abuse

 

A well built upgraded tranny can handle extreme HP,

 

man i love it lol i used to go this site called carsurvey (bunch of idiots that own cars lol) and on the Neon part they alll kill the Neon and say "well when the transmission is a 20 year old design u should expect the rest of the car to follow" such idiots... lol... i love and hate the 3-speed...love the reliablity...but hate the 3 speed part... cause of the performance....but its my sisters car so i guess i shouldn't care that much lol
