Default push in clutch...hear air..

i went out to my car today to go to school...and i pressed in the clutch pedal...and i could hear air or something coming out... i dont know where and it did it till i got to school... the clutch still felt the same and everything...u just had that sound whenever it was pressed in... but then when i got in my car to go back home (about an 2 hours later) the sound was gone... could this be related to the master cyl. for the clutch?

the clutch on a neon is a cable not hydraulic. The sound you are hearing could just be from the friction of the clutch.

The 95-00 are cable...01 + are hydraulic. Just a little FYI.

it could be the throwout bearing starting to wear & make noise, ive heard some noisy when theyre cold and get quieter as it warms up, if its not really loud i wouldnt worry too much till it gets worse

[/quote]You can use the hydraulic tranny as long as you change the bellhousing as well.
