Default Gauge cluster already soldered

ok ive known about the re flowing the solder'd points on the circuit board but what if youve done that and 2-3 weeks later your speedometer is acting up again...is it the VSS(Vehicle Speed Sensor)??

Does your odometer still work? If not, then it's probably your VSS. If it does, try resoldering again and adding a bit of solder. If that doesn't work, you may just need a new one.

Then you can try the soldering again and making sure the connections on the back are secure or get you a new one.

i think its just the connections them selves...seeing how if i push on the bottom of the cluster in the middle the speedo comes back on

The pins aren't making a good connection then.

wow when mine acted up the speedo quit, odometer and trip quit, and the tach would quit randomly, the speedo would jump around over bumps, charge light and ABS light would flicker on bumps, and sometimes i'd see the low fuel light flicker on & of with the charge light - i resoldered the connections and it works like new again
