got horsepower
i did some research today and on most sites of synthetic oil makers they are saying that synthetic oil by its great lubricating ability actually frees up horspower and in some cases as much as 8 to 10 hp
On an already high powered motor, yes it's possible. On our neons, you're not gonna see 8-10HP just from switching to a synthetic. It would be more common to see an increase in HP in a V8 or V10.
on one site concerning udp they said an udp can be compared to a jogger running with running shoes and a regular pulley is like a runner running in combat boots so would you say synthectic oil is like a glass of water with a straw in it and the amount of energy to stir it will require less energy than say conventional oil being like a thick milkshake needing more energy to stir
wouldnt a cooler engine and better lubricating engine mean that it is not working as hard as the less coooled and less lubricating engine thus freeing up more horsepower . i wonder how would the neon test with the dyno useing synthetic vs conventional there almost have to be some power gain
