-How many RPM's-

RE: -How many RPM's-
I am running in Chandler, Indiana 5/16 & Nebo Ky 3/8. I am thinking like you racerx, the only way to run a 3/8 track is to go the smaller tires & run in 3rd. I am going to try it this sat night. The smallest tires i have so far areb 185/60/14 i hope they work. Right now
i shift into 3rd down the straights then back to 2nd thru the turns it works if you get the shift points right but is a lot to do, kinda takes the fun out of racing the car & mixing it up. Hey racerx where did you find the 195/45's? Thanks

a local tire shop orders them from japan, that size isnt made in the US, theyre Toyo Proxes T1R, find anyone who deals with toyo tires they can probly order them
they are realy soft & grab awsome, especially on a slick hard track, you can blow by evryone on the outside & hold it up there- but if your car pushes or your forcing it through the corner too much they get hot & go away, i only melted one RF tire all year cuz i was pissed off and forcing my car bad, theyre great because they have no roll at all& makes steering really responsive, but man it rattles your brain when you get a rough track, i would reccomend a skid plat under the oil pan, i learned that the hard way

neon48 what size tires do you run on the 5/16 track? biggest you can fit? i ran hilltop (5/16 track) one time this year when i still had the automatic trans, i was a shiftin fool then, lol, burnt up the auto in the feature but i still finished 9th with 1st gear shuddering and running out of fuel, i have the 3.94 trans, im thinkin of goin this weekend to run, i guess i should try the big tires?
