my friend with a DOHC figured out this...

you hold down the clutch right before the car starts moving
then you keep teh revs around 4k
and then just floor it and let off the clutch
he let's it off easier than i do
but i always get him on the launches

First thing, don't floor it and drop the clutch if you don't have drag radials on. Ease into it and find out what RPM's are best for YOU to launch at. You don't want to hear the tires squealing...may sound nice, but means you aren't moving!

i didnt mean for him to drop the clutch
cause then your going to burn out for 25 feet haha

but if you stay on the clutch to long
don't you **** up the transmission?

Most of the time i dont start from a dead stop though. I just find people driving down the road or on the highway(where the b16's beat me). How hard can the neon engines take a beating. Ive been scared to rev it to high because ive heard that neon engines will have lots of problems. And will the other parts mentioned above help any?
