I too live in Ohio and had the Mopar Performance/Iceman CAI on my '99 R/T and never had any problems. I have had the K & N CAI on my '04 SRT-4 for over 2 years and have had no problems. As long as you don't try driving through deep puddles and slow down for any questionable puddles you'll never have any problems. Do not use a by-pass valve, they are junk and even come with a notice telling you what a POS they are. So long as you drive responsibly you'll be fine and enjoy your increased performance and fuel mileage.

I really like having that little intake. And when ever I lift my hood and my friends are around, they always ask... What is that little intake for? LOL

Does having that little of an air intake lower the airflow? seems like a bigger filter = more air flow

The small filter is a breather filter, not the main air filter. The air intake filter is connected at the bottom of the red tube that goes down in front of the tranny.

It would be better than stock, but not better than one pulling in cold air.
