Default CAI question

ok well i finally have money to spend on my CAI but i was wondering...i live in Ohio so it gets cold and i was wondering if having a CAI in winter would like kill my motor or something with all the cold air? my friend used to have a VW Fox that had a CAI on it and when it was cold the car would randomly shut off during winter... so just wondering if i should just wait till like spring to put one on

Yeah, the colder the better, my car runs somewhat better in winter due to the denser air

Well there are a couple ways. You have make a hole in the intake and put in a connector to attach the hose. Otherwise you can do like i did, and I just put a small little intake on it. I'll post a pic in a minute

I really like having that little intake. And when ever I lift my hood and my friends are around, they always ask... What is that little intake for? LOL

most cold air intakes for neons come with the nipple for the pcv valve hose...but some dont so the little filter is the best way to go...
i did it to mine also.....it looks a little neater on a dohc though.....

the bypass valve isnt gonna do you much good at all....if you put it on then its kinda defeating the purpose of a CAI, cepending on where you put it.....

snow wont bother it much either, just as much as rain would anyways.....if i can drive my car in heavy rain and not have a problem then you should be able to drive it in snow....

The PCV valve doesn't hook up the air intake. The thing that connects to the air filter tube is a breather valve, not the PCV valve.

Are you doing the 3.0L intake.
