Default metal shavings

i tore another stock racing abused engine apart, evrything actually looks fairly good inside for what its been through, but this motor was filling with metal shavings bad, the bearings look perfect, all valvetrain looks fine, the cams look like they started to seize in the head a little bit, but theres no way that much aluminum came from the little bit of marks i found, and i found some of the pistons were a little scarred , again not enough to make that much metal- the cylinder walls were fine, anyone think all that mess coulda came from the oil pump itself? it had pretty low pressure but like i said the bearings looked perfect inside of it and it just looked like a little bit of oil starvation to the top end

lol, i dunno where those came from, the wrist pins are fine too, oil filter was completely clogged with aluminum, and it had that much crap in the oil pan 5 times of running it, and you can just imagine what the oil looked like those 5 changes, im thinkin the oil pump crapped out, the farther to the rear of the engine, the more damage parts have, i just cant belive the bearing looks perfect still and the rest is trashed, usually bearings go first

allmy engines are junk and i think its almost cheaper to go buy a 2.4 and throw in than to rebuild a 2.0 to just not like the lack of midrange torque, i dunno they want so much money for this stuff, its crazy what pistons & gaskets cost, i can rebuild a V8 chevy for teh price of a gasket set for a neon, hell

well if i buy cheap parts, i can rebuild it for about $500 or so, its only gotta last one season, and pass as a "stock" engine, it can blow up all it wants afterwards
