Need Help Painting Interior
I want to know how to paint the interior of my 95 Dodge neon. How do i paint the cloth material on the door panel. What kind of paint do i use? What brand is the best to use? Where can i buy it from? Furthermore, do i need primer? I want to make it look professional and decent. For now, i am asking about the CLOTH MATERIAL ON THE DOOR PANELS. Please give me some hints, tips, and comments regarding this issue. Thank You

if you want it to look good then certainely dont paint the material......you would have to use some dye, but i dont know where to get any good kind for it.....it would just rip the old material off and put new material on, or you could just cover the old material with the new....i put new stuff on

RE: Need Help Painting Interior
actually i took the whole door panel apart and removed the materialized panel from the rest of the panel.....then i took a razor blade and cut a few lines in the material, then gripped the material with a pair of pliers and pulled it all off.....then used some 3M spray adhesive and glued the new material on the panel.....
originally i used a dremel and cut 1/8" wide grooves in the material in the shape of flames all the way across the panel, then filled it with hot glue so that the glue stuck up higher then the cloth.....then covered it all with the new materail...then if you looked at it, there were 3D flames in it....if i can get my scanner to work then i will put up a pic of it.....
there is a good adhesive out there that holds the cloth on the panel really good, but i cant remember where to get it

RE: Need Help Painting Interior
For my dash I used Family dollar black paint, Dupli-Color Clear Effex( a top coat that contains glitter) and I also Used Dupli-color clear coat, I washed down the parts first with good ole soap and water, then degreased them, and gave it a final rinse, then air dried. 2 coat black, then 2 glitter, then I clear coat and one glitter top coat hard to scratch, sticks well to the plastic and doesnt chip. the the total cost was just a 10 bucks heres some pics of a part I could take off fast, I had lighting issues but did the best I could, as you can see depending on the angle your at you will see the rainbow differently and yes that is macorroni you see in the background of the one, and yes that's what I had for dinner lol

i used folia tech interior paint on my car...jc whittney used to carry it, but they dont anymore....it was awsome paint, but it cost 18.00 a can......of course you could take a nail and scratch at it and the paint not come off
i think it ended up costing about 200.00 to do all the interior....just in paint and top coat
