I have a 96 sohc, 5 spd, I need to put in a new computer, does it have to come from a sohc 5 spd? Will it matter if it comes out of a automatic or dohc? I think i have a problem with the voltage regulator and wanted to see if another computer will fix it.

 

you gonna wanna get one fron another sohc....otherwise fuel elivery will be slightly off
another 5-spd......you will have a check engine light if you get one from an auto...unless you dont mind
get one from another 96....othwise, more problems...

so basically...96 sohc 5spd....or....96 sohc auto

 

Get one from your same year and tranny to keep it simple.
