not paint remover, lol, siwrl mark remover for the paint on your car, cleaner wax or buffing compound can also work, autozone im sure carries that stuff, its takes alot of rubbing but the yellow slowly starts to clear up, if you have a buffer give it hell with that and youll get better results

the yellow layer might come off but your still gonna have to buff it clear again, sandpaper will leave it hazy

I used rubbing compound on mine and it worked great. We used it with the buffer and i havent had any problems with my headlights since. It was my boyfriends idea and now my dad has done it to all our cars. We have a 96 and a 97 neon. It worked a lot better on the ford windstar that we have but worked just fine on the neon. Hope this helps.

Hey, just wanted to know, are you guys reffering to the haziness of the headlights?? Cuz my girlfriends 97 headlights are TERRIBLE - it's pretty much like driving with a little flashlight on the hood, with the amount of light that comes out. There's all road grime and dirt (i guess) coating the inside of the headlights, and they are ridiculously dim driving at night. I went to the junkyard to check out replacements for her, and noticed that ALL the neons there with headlights had the same problem. So we just ordered new headlights that came in today. I just wanted to know if this is what you guys are talking about, so hopefully I can sucessfully clean the old ones and return the new ones we just bought. Thanx
