In my opinion, you *STOLE* that car... I bought my Neon R/T w/ 179k, no power options, aftermarket muffler.. and a bunch of crap that needed fixed.. and bought it for 2000... You got one hell of a deal for that, Spud!

 

i have a few people that said they would give me $2,000 for it....they just need to see if they can get the money

 

man...i need a job so i can buy these cheap Neons lol...good buy Spud!... whatcha gonna do with it?

 

i bought it for the sole purpose of reselling it.....i alredy took the cd player out because it isnt goin with the car.....i have my stock r/t struts sitting in the garage, and a few extra thermostats, and i can fix the exhaust leak if i have too.....which isnt a problem...and im gonna put new tires on it.....
then get rid of it

I found my neon down the street from where i live...I saw the car on the way to school one morning and the guy had $700 on it.

95' mtx
sohc
165,000 on the body. about 75,000 on the engine
no power options
interior is in great condition
exterior is also pretty nice...couple little things, but nothing major
car runs awesome, no leaks, doesnt burn oil.

no mods done to it at that time but still a very cheap and good car.

needless to say i came home for school went to the bank and grap $500. Brought it to the man and signed the title...and thats how it came about. haha

so i guess neons have reputation of selling for cheap.

 

I guess the fact they have a ****-poor reputation on the streets is a good thing for the educated neon owners out there! Maybe that will be my inspiration. Buy cheap Neons, fix em up and sell em again!

 

yea i'm still debating if i want a dohc...

just because everything i have on my sohc, i can switch to a dohc
but if i get teh header
it wont work as well
and if i want a better cam it will cost twice as much for two

there are the ups and downs

i think ill just get my sohc to the point where a dohc cant pass it

i was thinking of putting my k&n cold air intake and my spare set of chrome 17's on the car before i sell it....(just to get some spare junk outta the garage).....but i dont want the rims that are on the car..(ugly) and i cant afford tires for the 17's right now...so i guess im gonna do the work i have to and sell the thing.....i know sumonw around here will buy it...

i will put up some pics of it this afternoon...i was gonna take sum pics when i got it home, but i forgot my camera

i just wanna sell it so i can get my new struts, new clutch, FPR, fuel pump, intercooler piping, and pay off my dakota....and i few things for the wife(just so she doesnt get mad)

 

I have a couple things I have to ask I have a 98 neon, R/T and I was wanting to drop a Srt-4 motor in it, swap engine. I have to ask do you have any Idea if it could be done I know that you have to change the motor mounts, tranny, ECU, but what about the trans-axel. If you have any Idea if it could be done let me know. Btw I think the R/T neon are kick ***.

 

from what ive heard, you dont have to change the trans...swapping in the srt 4 can be done, if i had the money then i would do it myself
