Default Those little HVAC lights.... they get 12V?

Im wiring up my hvac "lights" to glow blue with these LED's I have, and I dont have a voltmeter with me, I know they grow brighter with the **** but are they a 12v line? And does the **** work like a potentiometer? So it would vary the voltage from like 8-14V or something? Just so I use the right resiters (if any) in this setup

they are 12v, your entire car runs off the 12v system, not sure about the potentiometer, don't have any stats on that. I thought about changing the cluster colors once, like green for gas and red for the temp one, but I wasn't sure if they sold those type of bubls in those colors, i would think they would have to seeing how other cars colors differ.

doesnt matter what color bulbs you get, they are still gonna be clost to the amber color since the gauge overlay is where the color comes from.....

yeah and the LEDs fit perfectly in there, just break off the bottom tab and you can push the whole yellow overlay out through the bottom

haha like I dont know the car runs on a 12v system. But some cars, like hondas, are a little different. Do you know what the voltage range is from dim to bright?

some states its illegal for light to shine on your face while you drive so put up like a colored lens behind it or check your laws or make it so it doesnt point in ur face
