and harrased about being slow when thier really not. i hat e being with my friends and around my car and thier like oh "its just a neon" and im thinking it will blow your civic or accord or integra away. hell even with just my cold air and exhaust i took a 2002 Celica. it really pisses me off how under rated are cars are and how they get no respect

Obviously we are going to be biased in this forum, but they are underestimated big time, but thats OK with me. Keeps there value down and they are cheap to upgrade. The neon won the SCCA 5 years in a row, so that says enough for me. Also the DOHC engine was designed by Chrysler and Lamborghini

Das...your not supposed to think outside of this forum come on lol...but yea i do like how they are underestimated...only makes it better when u beat them...and as u said u can buy them cheaply...and with the DOHC...who wouldn't want a cheap Lambo engine? or atleast one that was designed with partnership with them lol

When you get those comments, just smirk at them, thinking in your head "Uh huh, just a neon.. I'll whomp anything you can pull out here!"

i happen to like the low prices of neons.....especially when you can go out and a 2004 srt-4 with 50,000 miles on it for like $11,000...

just look at it this way, the more underestimated the neons are, the more embarrasing it is for the other driver that you just beat

hey, i heard that a stock neon with a 50 shot of nitrous can run 14 seconds......i wonder what my car is gonna run when i put the turbo on the car, and if i end up putting the nitrous on there too......
im gonna be hunting for people to race when the car is done

probably because the people that own them and "think" they are fast get owned...i know my neon isn't fast so i don't try and blow past people...some idiot tried that when i was in a malibu....yea he got humiliated bad....probably scared him when my rental literally roared past him

I was under the impression that Celicas were all "flash". I guess stock Neons will beat other cars within their price range (Corollas, Civics and the such), and with lots of fiddly part upgrades they can take on racer vehicles.
