RE: RT/ACR?
ACRs were the fastest neons produced (other than the SRT4)
they have the fog light bumper
with no fog lights in them

R/Ts have sport body kits
they have 2 stripes going across the hood/roof/trunk
and have R/T badges

RE: RT/ACR?
oh and the ACR wasnt governed
and the R/T is governed at 130 i believe

the ACR also came as a SOHC & DOHC
the R/T is only a DOHC

the suspenion on the two are also different

the ACR suspension is the best stock suspension you can get with a neon straight from the factory
they came stock with Koni struts
and i'm pretty sure they came with front and rear sway bars as well
i don't know about the R/T for sure...

RE: RT/ACR?
r/t's:
leather wrapped steering wheel and shift ****
black interior with color matched seats(blue cars have blue designs on the seat...red have red....white have blue...and black have red)
only made in 4 colors
special designed rims only available on the r/t's
front/rear sway bars
mcpherson struts with stiffer springs
larger gas tank
body colored door handles
fog lights and reading lights on the rear view mirror
there is more, but i cant remember
i had my option list that the dealer printed out for me, but i cant find it.....[:@]

now the thing is,
not all r/t's have stripes...(mine doesnt, but they must be special ordered stripe delete)
r/t's are mostly the same as acr's but the r/t's have more convenience options(most have power windows/locks/mirrors/power sunroof)
(mine is as plain as can be option wise, no sunroof, manual windows/locks mirrors...mine just has cruise control)

acr:
4 door-sohc.....2-door-dohc
some didnt have the konis(but i dont remember which year it was)
didnt come with any convenience options

it does state in the vin if its an acr or not, but i cant remember what number or letter tells you....the r/t vin comes out as the car being a highline/sport/rt....thats how it says it too...even on the title

Not entirely true, thought they were the lightest of all the neons.

Only the 95 ACR has no speed limiter.

ACR sedan=SOHC, ACR Coupe=DOHC

95-96 got Arwins, and 97-99 got black Koni's.

RE: RT/ACR?
easiest ways still to tell an r/t is the leather wrapped steering wheel and color of the designs on the seats
