my neon just had its oil pump replaced and we discovered the oil pressure sensor was leaking again after we just replaced it last week so my boyfriend put in a mannual oil pressure gauge and put a plug where the sensor is supposed to go. YAY no more idiot light !!!!! hate those things anyway they never come on until its too late to fix the problem :P

well i need to get a street T from hahnracecraft.....it will give me one outlet for for the oil feed line to the turbo and im gonna remove the stock sending unit and replace it with the one for the oil pressure gauge....the guy told me that if i remove the stock sending unit then the dummy light wont come on unless i ground the plug......but if the light does come on them im just gonna take the bulb out...

yea the stock switch grounds it when there no oil pressure to turn on the the light, unhooked it wont even come on
you can go to a hardware store and buy brass fittings cheaper than the car part places, ive used stuff from ACE hardware for oil pressure fittings for years & never had a problem, sometimes finding the right thread and adapters can be a pain but most are just standard pipe thread.
all they send you in the kits are brass fittings anyway, sometimes aluminum

the gauge came with brass fittings, and i was told i could just get a T fitting from the hardware store to put in there for the oil feed, but its just easier getting it from Hahn, then i dont have to go searching for the right thread.....besides, Hahn only wants like 6.00 for one
