My AC pump locked up today and the belt was still moving. Of course this made it squeal and smoke. I decided to drive it home and the belt made it.I know that the air has not worked for some time and some one said that if you don't have the refridg fluid in it, it doesn't stay lubed. Can you just bypass the AC pump and not mess anything else up?
