Default Neon dies out

I bought a Dodge Neon for a kid and the car dies out when you are running and then press the clutch to downshift. The car idles good and it has new plugs I changed last week. Any idea why the car dies down when slowing down wth the clutch in?

Thanks for any help or ideas you can give me.

Update:

I get two codes form the "Sevice Engine Soon" light.

12 Direct battery input to PCM was disconnected within the last 50 key-on cycles
21 02s sensor problem (oxygen sensor), upstream or down stream

Not sure what these mean. Anyone know?

Thanks

I had that same problem today, just replace the O2 sensor that is before the cat, then reset your pcm (disconnect the neg on the battery for 5min) then everything should be good. Its also a good idea to go ahead and change the fuel filter too. The reason it cut out is because your car is not getting enough oxygen. That could cause serious hesitation or cut out.
