bigger brakes
so i heard that the disk brakes off of a 2nd gen neon were bigger than the 1st gen
and i was wondering if it was hard to swap
do you just swap the disk/caliper?
i saw quite a few 2nd gen neons at the pick-n-pull
and my front right brake was making a really loud annoying noise the last few days i was driving it
so i might as well swap them to thoughs 2nd gen brakes if it's worth it!

The problem with a caliper upgrade on the neon is that the caliper brackets are cast into the steering knuckle, instead of bolting on like the PT, SRT-4, and other cars use.
With a bolt on bracket, it is much easier to change the caliper, just make a new bracket to position the caliper correctly.
You either need to swap to manual PT knuckles and machine them to fit the strut, or do a bunch of machine work on neon knuckles to remove the cast bracket.
