Window regulator
Decided to dig into the window regulator on passenger side door of my 2D '98 Highline. I discover that the plastic "wheel cover" in the horizontal rail that supports the window cracked in half. For the X beam that connects to the horizontal rail, the back "/" part doesn't fit into the rail anymore, and when I raise and lower the window sometimes it just flops down in a rather scary way, so I just pull it up and avoid touching that door at all costs.
Is there a way to insert a new plastic "wheel cover" onto that window regulator, or am I going to have to take the sucker out?

It's heck of a lot easier than playing with my Geo Metro-that was a killer to extract the regulator from. Of course, it was more difficult to peel off this Mopar sound insulation stuff I found behind the side panel.
But yeah, I think I'll have to go to the JY and get me a RH window regulator too. Urgh, this car gives me grief. I shall have to live with the wind noise until then.

im wondering if my window track is broken...this makes me think something definately is ... if my window isnt all the way up , and i hit a good pothole or tarmark (theres lots up here) , it clunks as if it was thrown off track... i wasnt sure if its just because theres no stabilization from the pillars...

Working on a provisional repair:
Used a tool to "hold" one of the halves in place and tried to pop the metal ball onto the plastic thingy. It snapped on securely, then I got the other half, covered the inside with superglue and attempted to put it into place as well...hopefully I put enough glue.
To make sure it sorta stays together, zip-ties for the win (or in my case, some "plastic rope" stuff since I only found zip-ties *after* I put everything back together). It rolled all the way back up to the top and it forms a surprisingly good seal, at least until I can get to the junkyard a few days from now.
