Gotta figure in the cost of the plane ticket as well, but still a good find. Good luck with the drive back home.

just got back into town today at 2pm, so as of now I have been up for 41 hours straight!

The car drove good all the way from Virginia to Kansas, pulled 36mpg. No problems art all. Needs 2 new tires though, and the sunroof needs fixed, it pops up about 1/2 inch, and then nothing...not sure where to start with that! Needs a good detail also, but that is to be expected. I will get pics up asap!

im going to assume that the sunroof goes up, stops, then you just hear a grinding sound....
if thats the case then you probally need a new sunroof motor......the first gen. neons that came with a power sunroof had a problem with the motors...the main drive gear in the motor is made of poor plastic, so after usually about a year or so of use the gear ends up with a flat spot on it, so it opens then stops.....my old car had this problem and i had to get a new motor for it and it fixed the problem...however the dealer wants about $300.00 for a new one, i went to a junk yard and got a motor out of a 2001 neon, swapped the plugs and it worked fine.....but you can find new motors on ebay for $50.00

if the sunroof opens but then binds up on 1 side then you probally need new sunroof lifting arms....they are made of poor quality as well, and have a tendency to break....if this is the case then you need a whole new sunroof assembly and you dont even want to know the price of that[&:]

just fyi

I had a problem with my sunroof at first also. The tracks inside broke on me, so i just went to a junkyard and got the whole sunroof for 75 dollars.
