I have a question. When I looked under my car (97 Sohc) I noticed that the fuel filter only has 2 hoses coming out of the filter. But when I went to the autoparts store and asked for a replacement filter , the one they gave me has 3 hoses. I went to all sorts of autoparts stores but some of them told me the same thing or they just didnt carry it. So my qustions are: Did the fuel filter for the 97 come with just 2 hoses from it, or did I purchase a car that some one modified the filter? Is there a part # for the Filter? Thanks.

 

3 hoses? It SHOULD only have 2, inlet and outlet. Though I havent seen a neon filter I dont understand what the 3rd would be for...

 

it does have 3 hoses... i think 2 for the tank and then one for the hose... i think... i changed mine like 4 or so months ago but cant remember which hose went where...

 

Well mine only has 2 hoses, and the one that parts stores want to sell me have 3 hoses? WTF!!! What do I do? Anybody have the part number for the one with only 2 hoses if it exists? thanks

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!! when I went to the dealer the dude was like......the fuel filter is in the sender....you're gonna have to buy that too.
so where is the fuel filter? I havent checked only cause he told me it was in the sender...

 

well I know where the filter is,(its on the right side of the fuel tank) but I want to know if the filter is supposed to have 2 or 3 hoses.

 

what year is your neon? cause 95's 3...both of our 95's do so yea lol
