RE: my wing
i saw a neon once at the jc whittney car show that was black with yellow accents and yellow interior.....it had a spoiler that was about 4 inches wider then the car and was actually about 6 inches taller then the roof.....i was only 16 when i saw it and even then it was stupid looking....however the JC whittney car shows usually have some nice cars

I would probably just remove what you got on their now and go with a stock one. I have a 2001 Grand Am with its stock spoiler and it looks pretty good. Maybe look at one of those. But then again it may not look good at all on a Neon. http://i1.ebayimg.com/04/i/07/ff/79/4f_2.JPG

i have now finally realized how stupid my wing looks. i dont mind the size of the wing...its the tall supports that look stupid to me. so now im thinking about getting the supports cut and then drilling new holes to make my wing look better. i just dont want to buy a paintable spoiler because of the price of the painting and i got my wing for a good price. and i cant really return it and i drilled holes in my trunk...
these are estimates of the change that would happen if i did this...done with paint
tell me what you think. does it look better? still look stupid? honest opinions are welcome.

it looks better lower.
no offense but at that angle you just slowing your self down. level up up a bit. you dont need dow force on the rear end at 35 mph.

about changing the angle though...at the very tip of the wing blades, it curves up a little bit. at the way i have it set now, that little curve points straight out level with the rest of the car.
changing the angle back a bit would make it so it would catch air UNDER the wing. would that be good? i was scared of it ripping off if i did that.

RE: my wing
if the air moves under the wing then you will get lift.....
i personally would rather have downforce then lift
atleast downforce will put wome more pressureon the back tires, lift will of course take the force off the back tires......just remember you still need tracion on the back tires too
