Default 2.4 crankshaft in a SOHC 2.0 block?

a friend of mine was telling me that its possible to put a 2.4 crankshaft in SOHC block. can anyone verify that this is true? its going to cost me $175 to bore my block out .20 over for the forged SOHC pistons and rods that i have, but i heard you would gain more torque and horsepower using the 2.4 internals, i suppose that my SOHC block has to be bored out to a 2.4L for everything to work correctly. So before i open up my rebuild kit...anyone know which would be better for my turbo setup? and what compression ratio my pistons should be for the 2.4?

as far as i know the 2.4 internals wont work on a 2.0
i was told that the 2.4 has a different stroke and rod length but im not positive

Nope won't work....if you had a 2.4L engine, they would work
