If you can find them, Mopar High Rate springs with Koni struts.

 

alot of stuff just broke....the pic is from when i clipped the semi trailer at about 90mph
here are some better pics of the suspension....it broke the axel and the lower ball joint/controll arm snapped right off
the spindle broke between the 2 strut bolts

What do you mean, if i can find them? are they not made anymore or what ?

 

The Mopar High Rates have been discontinued, you will have to find them used. There are the Mopar Extra High Rates, but those are 100% stiffer than stock.

 

spud, not to talk $#!t but how did you clip a semi? Did you not see a monsterous truck traveling the same direction as you or what? There has to be more to the story. If you don't mind, could you share the story with us?

depending on your budget, just get some McPherson struts. i think those came stock on the R/T's, but all the other neons just got the cheap ones[:@].

 

as far as i knew even the extra high rates were discontinued

ok, i was in a hurry and it was a slightly foggy day.....i went to pass a semi and when i got about to his cab, another one comming at me came out of a dip in the road.....so i lock up the brakes and skid for a while, then i hoped that i would be able to fall back behind the truck i was passing before i hit this other one head on.....well the truck i was passing hit the brakes too......so i waited until the last minuite and jerked the wheel over and just hoped that i would miss the truck i was passing.....
well i didnt and i ended up clipping the back bumper of the trailer, the bumper cought the car and i did 2-360's in the middle of the road before goin backwards into a ditch slightly.....i ended up missing the truck that was comming towards me though
i had black marks on my front bumper from the tire of the trailer i hit.....after i came to a stop i tried to move the car back off the road, but couldnt when i realized the axel was broken and the tire was underneath the car....

neither of the semis stopped and the cop didnt give me any tickets because he said that paying for my stupidity is punishment enough

when i first hit the brakes i was doin about 120-125mph......since it was kinda wet out, when i hit the brakes i was still doin about 90mph when i hit the trailer...

everything that needed to be replaced was the lower control arm, passenger drive shaft, steering rack, both rear strut mounts, blew out 2 struts, broke my fog light, broke the headlight bracket, still needs new fender and front bumper...i think there was more but it was last february so i cant remember
here is a pic of what the bumper did.....it whent right between the bumper and fender.....and into the frame rail

damm man, hope ur stage of bad luck is over....

 

when i put on the springs i didnt put the plate between the springs and the strut mounting plate, it made a horrible sound when i turned and whichever way i turned it would kinda pulled that way, i had to jerk it the opposite way to go straight, finally i took a good look at those plates the ***** that go in them were missing but bb's made a good replacement next ones i do im gonna make sure that all steering pieces are the before i put it all back together. ive heard about the ebay coilovers but ... a freind had a set and for 20.00. i figured i would give it a shot.now i know, how rude.
