it would work fine......just have to be carefull because the that filter has a large opening for the pipe compared to a regular intake filter

Just a thought Would a regular K&N filter with a hood scoop give u the same Performance increase as a CAI?

its possible....but the hood scoop will probally be located about hwere the stock air box is at.....then the air will still get warmed up by the exhaust and flowing along the motor to the engine.....
an ice man intake for instance reloactaes the filter and the air pipe away from the motor...so the air will stay colder

It would be better than stock but not better than the Iceman.

do i have to put a silicone piece inbetween the pipe and the filter connection or something?

the reason i ask is because kragen and auto zone have the filters for 50+

so why not save $10-$20?

the replacement filter for the iceman has about a 4in. opening for the pipe....so unless your intake is close to that then i would find a different one
