i have a 1995 dodge neon sohc and its fast for a stock neon but i just got it like 2 months ago n the engine is goin on it n knocks sooo f'in loud n i know its internal so im lookin to maybe replace the engine maybe like a 98 or sum dohc n all that good stuff but idk if it would work even if i get wiring harness and the ecu n what not so idk does ne one think i could slap one in pretty easy or is it a real bitch to put it help plzzz...

my dad and i were thinking about putting a 98 DOHC in

and yea you can swap them
and i heard it's not htat hard at all

 

It will be more work to swap in a 98 DOHC because the sensors changed in 96+ I believe.

 

need a dohc harness for the engine and into the car.....
pcm....and passenger motor mount bracket.....thats basically it if you get a complete motor....

it isnt that hard but it would be more work then just swapping in another 95 sohc

 

yea but anyone that wants power will put any DOHC other than a SOHC no matter what!

 

after owning my dohc's i would never own another sohc

 

well i have a 95 sohc n i raced a 98 rt dohc n beat the living **** out of him like seriously not even trying n he came back n said he missed a **** but damn thats a long **** then idk but easy money but i like the sohc but would like to get a dohc

 

he must of missed a shift because a 95 sohc will not beat a 98 r/t......unless the sohc has some good mods and the r/t driver doesnt know how to drive

 

well a 95 sohc with an ECU could beat an r/t

 

yeah well do ne of u guys know where would be a good place to to get a 96-98 neon dohc engine with a ecu n wire harness cheap at? if so maybe a link or sum ?.... but adding to the races thing i beat a second gen neon sxt with the 95 sohc n it was pretty easy what ya gotta say bout that ? soimebad drivin or sum or what lol idk but if u guys could help that be great i just miss driving my car....
