Update pics + few questions
Alright, i have the neon pretty much taken apart. I have alot of room to work, which will be a first!
First off, the airbag module in front of the e-brake, does that have an event recorder? It also says to disengadge the parking brake auto-adjust. ok so whats that about?(i dont have the owners manual) This about sums it up, i still have a few more questions, but ill cross that bridge when i get to it.

the reason that it says to disengage the ebrake thing is because there is some tension on the ebrake so when you take out the nuts that hold it down, the ebrake handle and assembly will fling back.....but as long as you hold onto it, it will be fine
cant i just unplug it, and leave it bolted in there?
Howd'ya like the nice battery suprise? I thought it was great, just what i asked for. The only thing ive actually fixed(i hope) is the gauge cluster, had a buddy resolder the p1/p2 connections. I suppose i should start putting the car back together one of these days, after i try to fix the hole in the bumper cover...
I can throw up a few pics of the rear, its not a problem.

you can just unplug it and leave it there....just remember that the airbag light will be on....unless you remove the bulb

took the light outa the dash already, it was the first thing i did.
I washed out the battery tray just now, and my hands and forearms got some acid on them....feels nice, must be another one of those dodge specials.
I saw some news special about event data recorders, they look about the same size as that air bag module, and i guess if you tamper with it, the air bags will deploy. They didnt say what make/model/year's of vehicles are equipped with them, so i was just making sure.

as far as i know there isnt anything like that for them....but if you wanna be safe and your leaving the airbags in there then you can always take out the airbags and unplug them...then bolt them back in
Thanks for the info,
What i wouldnt mind doing is pulling out that steering wheel, and getting an aftermarket one. Then pull the airbag outa the dash on the pass. side and put in that little tray dealy-bob, but from what i understand they are hard to come by.
I suppose ill start to wire up my amp sometime today, and try to put the car back together.....[:'(]
