Default Time to get serious

Alright Decision has been made, after reading countless posts on here and thinking about my budget and what I want out of my car,
feeling sporty in front of my friends (maybe better handling, lower, louder, a little faster from red light to red light)
That is what i sort of want but, I want to go beyond that I want to be the car that pulls away from the TransAMs, and Mustangs. And i see a lot of potential with my car.

The Plan, Right now i have a 2.0 SOHC ATX, I plan on saving up every nickel and dime until i can Swap that for a 2.4 SRT4 Turbo engine, with MTX. From there i will get a

-(Ghetto) CAI
-Headers
-Catback Dual Exhaust
-UDP
-ECM
ect...

as far as looks go
-Bodykit
-18in Rims
-Coil springs
-Spoiler
-Paintjob

If you wanna be quick from light to light, then you better leave the 18" rims off the car.

Weight doesn't have anything to do with, besides they are heavier than stock.

dont need the Srt4 engine to pull away from the trans-am's and mustangs...just fully rebuild the 2.0 with turbo. u might come out a bit cheaper plus u will get things done faster

It's the larger diameter of the rim that slows down acceleration, not the the added weight (even if they are lighter). It's called Inertia...it takes more power to turn the larger diameter rim than a smaller diameter rim. More weight is moved away from the center.

Alot of people think if the overall diamter is the same or iif wheel is lighter (but larger in diameter) than stock then they won't lose acceleration, but they are wrong. Besides the stock bubble alloys or sport rims weigh 16 lbs, so they aren't heavy to begin with.

i still want some 18's.....

you could get the 2.0 rebuilt with high performance parts and a srt turbo for a little less then it would cost to do the srt4 swap
