Default factoy oil weight

I was just wondering what the factory oil weight was......5w30 or is it 5w20. I picked up some 5w20 the other day jus wanna make sure its not too thin

oh damm..i always put 10w 30 in my car. once i put 20w 50

i put 20w-50 in mine...but its older...it stopped it from leaking though. and doens't burn as bad anymore.

depends on the application...i find it to be better for the older engines but if u live in like Montana...i wouldn't have 20w-50 in the motor during winter.... in younger engines or performance engines the thinner the better due to the less friction it would have... so it all depends lol...

Thicker isn't better for older engines. Think about it...it is harder for the engine to move a thicker oil upon startup than a thinner oil.
