keep in mind if you get boost happy that even built low comp bottoms can blow.

ok mods, i am not posting this site to do any harm, but this is my buddy jake and his 92 talon. his quickest time so far in it was a 9.93. watch the movie, and pay attention to the mods listed after it is done. it is the first vid, aka evil eagle. now, with that in mind, after this vid was made, he was running 35psi of boost, plus a 100 shot of nitrous. it is all in the tune. he is going with a bigger turbo this year, almost has the car finished now, and will be shooting for 40+psi and the nitrous to hit 8's. boost happy, lmfao.

again, this link is not meant for breaking the rules, if anyone can host this vid without the forum link, please do so before removing this link, thanks.

It all depends on the amount of boost you want to run and what your plans are for it. Most purpose built factory turbo cars run between 8.0-8.5:1 compression.

gettin boost happy is mainly a fuel problam, if your fuel is right even stock internals will survive in the teens. if its not lower boost can put too much pressure on rods. lower compression takes pressure off the rods but its still not bullit proff.

yea thats what i want to know....i got the bottom endkit from modern performance... $1099 with the 8.6:1 turbo pistionscompression ratio.. i dont plan on running more than 25psi.. as my car will be a daily driver, i would run between 10 to 15psi...maybe up the boost a little when i go to thetrack.so did i get the right pistons for what i just listed? or doi need to go higher with the comp ratio. im not familiar with modern performance's exchange or return policy...but pls let me know b4 i take my block to the machine shop..[&:]

has anyone actually watched the vid i posted? 8.6-1 pistons is what he is running on 40 psi of boost and a 100 shot. same brand as what most neon owners use. like i said, and a couple on here have said, it is all in the tune. you could blow your rods at 4psi if it runs lean.
