Default car boggs down

so, if i start moving from a dead stop....get 1st gear to about 3,000rpms and then stomp the gas, the car boggs down a little....but if you let off the gas and hit it again, then it moves fine....until you hit second...
if you hit it through second then it boggs downfor a secondand them moves just fine....
when idrive down the road at about 60mph an then drop it into 3rd to pass sumone, the car boggs a little and seems like there is sumthing holding it back.....but after a couple seconds, its fine

and once in a great while, when it boggs down, i head a small backfire from the engine.....

any ideas what the cause might be????? i dont know if its from the map clamp or the fuel pressure....but i just dont want to break anything[&:]

ok so i have been noticing....
when i give the car full throttle, then its fine
when i give the car 1/4 throttle, its also fine
but when i give it half throttle, the car boggs down and backfires once in a while...then it seems like there is sumthing holding it back....but as soon as you hit the gas to the floor, the problem goes away....until you let off the gas a little, then it bogs again for a second......

could the fuel pressure be too high or too low????? or might it me the map clamp?????

my car used to do that after i would turn a corner, i still dont know why, but the problem lessened when i added some heat brand water remover to my gas fill up, i originally thought that it was due to water in the tank sloshing into the fuel pickup, but that would take a while to pump through the line to the engine before i would notice it. so anyway, long story short
... try some fuel additives to clean your engine and fuel systems from the inside. good luck

Just so everyone that posted is aware....... Spud's neon was recently turbo'd so this is more then likely a tuning problem then anything else. Kind of funny it's happening the same time as other ppl's though, the r/t must feel left out!

thats why a started a different topic instead of adding to another.....
my car has always been a pain in the ***......but not as bad as my last one, though that car had a simple fix...every time it started running poorly, all i had to do was spend some money on it and it would be fine...
the one i have now is just never happy[&:]

i have been trying ot find sumone close that can tune it for me.....but im still trying ot get ahold of the guy[:@]

but on another note, ive ran about 5 tanks of gas through it since i started driving it about 1 week ago....and no difference
