I have the opportunity to get the engine and tranny fom a Dodge shadow for cheap and was wondering if anyone has heard of this being done. Any help would be great!

 

Bolt? Doubtful.. Sounds like alot of fab work will be needed! But if you have the time and money, anything can be done!

If a V8 will fit, then yes a V6 will fit. Is it worth it?? NO! You are better off with a 2.4 engine swap.

 

if you can find someone with that kind of expeince than its a great idea. origanal and much better power potential.

 

Not really...you don't have room to add anything else so how could you get more power out of it??

 

The 3.0L V6 out of a Shadow is a Mitsubishi made oil leak, you can get the same thing by remove your 2.0L's gaskets. Between it's low power and performance and it's added weight you would be better off pulling one of your plug wires off to get the same feel and effect in your Neon. Either build what you have or do a 2.4L swap, you will be far better off and you won't leave puddles of oil everywhere you go.

yo, get it right. my 3.0 shadow is much faster than any of your neons.

fab. it in guy. it's without a doubt, the best fwd engine dodge/mitsu has ever made.

 

you know it not a good idea to bash neons on a NEON forum...
