well... my Neon left me stranded...3 miles from my house...and i think its my fuel pump... no gas was going through the system at all...and thats after i added 3 gal. of fuel to make sure i just didn't run out... so yea... anyway of knowing for sure if it was the fuel pump and something else? all day today it felt like it was running on 3 cyl. but i thought it was just the cars age...but i guess it wasn't... ahhh my poor poor baby...and then we had to tow it home using a friends Mounteneer and well...now the tow ropes are locked around the wheels and ahh...this sucks... oh well i still love my baby!

 

damn man sorry to hear that...hope you get it back on the road soon..

 

So after 200,000 miles plus, it's left you on the side of the road ONCE?!?!?!

u know, i had a simular situation, but instead of dieing on me she buck forth and back. it turned out that this nice oregon storm had thrown a branch under my car while i was driveing and loosend the wires to the pump.
but same deal i love her anyway so i limped it back to my work (an auto shop) and fixed her. shes givin me no problems sence (aside of a speeding ticket, hehehheee)

 

uh correction lol...i've only been driving this Neon for 10,000 miles....but before that my dad drove it and it only broke down on him twice...and once was because one of the spark plugs came loose and flew out of the head...

 

uh my baby started up....it was odd i blame it on the school bus that went by just as i was turning it over lol...at first it didn't start and then my mom was like well try again and i was like its not going to...and it did...just like it always did before...cept now the valves chatter a little louder and smoke comes out of my cat. besides that its perfectly fine lol atleast for now

 

No matter what I have done to my neon.. It has gotten me home... I have thrown belts, got me home.. I blew a clutch, got me home... I *WRECKED* it and it got me home... I love my neon :-D

 

atleast you only broke down a few miles from your house and not about 600 miles like i did....and i only had $75.00 on me so my options were kinda limited

my tranny didnt like my driving

me and a buddy had to sit and wait in a scummy old motel parking lot for 3 days until my step-dad, girlfriend, and another buddy drove out to pick us up with a trailer.....

we got alot of comment about the car on the way home though....everyone thought it was a show car that we weretrailering home from a show
