where does the alt. wire go? It doesnt go to the battery and doesnt appear to go into the fuse box under the hood.... I want to upgrade the wire to atleast 4ga with a higher strand count for less resistance but need to find out where the stock wire goes first. Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

as far as i knew, i thought it went to the fuse box under the hood....but i guess not

 

Yea thats what I had figured too... I started to trace it once I found it from above the car but it started to get dark and colder out (its like 35 outside) so I decided to mess with it another day.

 

pretty sure the alt wire goes to the starter...not 100% sure tho but I'm pretty sure I saw that in the wiring diagram in the Haynes...I'll check tomoro its almost 1 am here an my Haynes is in my garage.
