ok well my door handle (inside) broke when trying to get that metal bar out...and well we kinda have a parts car and we're just going to swap the handles out possibly...but how do u do it? like the handles are held in by what looks like melted plastic so...do u just break the seal then re-melt the plastic or just use a lot of super glue?

 

jst get shaved door handles, ur practially haflway there

 

remove the handleanduse needle nose pliers to break off any remaining glue on the door panel.Use a good 2 part epoxy when you put the new handle on

maybe if i ever get a show Neon lol....but this one i'm trying to keep as oem as possible.

 

doesnt necessarily have to be a show car...shaved handles and the third brake light is the only shaved on my car....everything else is pretty much oem...except the engine

 

how do you shave the door handles and is it hard and expensive?

 

just remove the exterior door handle and replace it with metal or body filler and then shave it down and paint. then add a actulator and a remote to activate the actulator and then u have shaved door handles and a way to get in

 

dont you have to have like poppers or something? Also do you keep your inside door handles? I guess you probably would so you can get out huh.
