People always want to do this. Unless you are planning on really racing its not worth it, you will gain maybe 1-2 hp. If you do want to do it do it the right way and get a rack from an ACR which came with maunal steering. just disconnecting the power steering pump and looping the hoses is not the same as having a manual rack.

LOL, not if you don't plan on ever hooking it back up, if you don't you will get dirt and water and the such in there and it will never be usable again. Most people that do it reverse it when they get tired of the hard steering.

i looped the lines on the rack in my race car, its very easy to turn when moving, sitting still is kinda rough, but i can handle it no problem on dirt track. to keep the rack moving freely use a resivoir that can let the fluid circulate and keep the rack full.
this "delete" **** is getting retarded, you do not "delete" things from cars, you remove them, you delete things from a computer. this is a phrase made up by the ricer ***s so they sound like they know what theyre talking about.

True, but I was just pointing out that it isn't needed.

I did get tired of no P/S on my 97....I have it again on my 96 ACR.
