Default code reading / diagnostics

when you click the ignition in a chrysler three times and get the check engine light to flash the codes for you, does the computer tell you body and drivetrain codes too, possibly airbag and abs codes, or just check engine light stuff that would effect emmisions. is there anyway to get the car to flash some of these more complicated system codes like airbags and abs, i know on gm's there are different pins that you can short to get different system's codes. anyway, thanks for the info.

forgot to mention... when i check the codes on my car, the chack engine light flashes to indicate a code 12 and a code 55. i can't find definitions for these codes within alldata's system, are these codes that identify something, or are they trouble codes that i don't know about. thanks again.

12 should be "start test", and 55 should be "end test"no codes in between is a good sign.

A code 12 is actually battery has been disconnected within the last 50 key-on cycles.

That is right, I have yet to read my codes that I did not get a 12, no matter how long the battery has been connected
